Google Music Search Launched

Google have just released Music Search, a new google service to search for your favorite music albums and CDs. I found it pretty simple and very useful, in the beginning you can search for a singer, album, song or anything keyword, and result will be displayed grouped by songs, artists and albums. Under every artist you find his songs, albums ... etc. You can go more further and look for the songs in every album and find out more informations.

There is many useful features such the Price comparaison of an album from different sellers, its interesting to see the best price and pay less money. In addition to the different views available to see the albums based on their popularity, date, see all tracks or just a summary ...

Google Music Search is also linked to almost all other google service for example to search for lyrics of a song, find the artist home page, the latest news about the artist, photos and discussions. But I'm wondering from where they get this BIG database of songs, artists and albums, note that many albums don't have any link to buy it. This mean that the google database already exists and the sellers have been added as a feature when the album is available.

Initial merchant partners include Apple Computer's iTunes service, RealNetworks Rhapsody, eMusic and Amazon.com. And this confirm the said of Mayer, "We aren't building out a music store, We are getting people to the iTunes store". And its somehow the orientation of google as world wide web search engine that will allow you to serach for everything from their website.
