Yahoo! have launched their desktop search today. Yahoo desktop allow to Find anything on your computer, Search your instant messages from Yahoo! Messenger, View results instantaneously - as fast as you can type, Protect your privacy with easy search controls and Find information related to your desktop content.
Yahoo! allow searching 9 file types by default : Email, word, excell, powerpoint, pdf, text, music, instant messanging and images. But offer also a free package download which can extend them to 300 file types ! Yahoo desktop Requires Windows XP or Windows 2000 SP 3+
